Health Education related Contraception for Fertile Age Couples as part of the "SUP KB SEKAR" Programs

Abstract
Background: Indonesia is a country that is developing very rapidly in terms of population growth, where it has the fourth largest population after China, India, and the United States. The increasing population can be a big problem for countries in the world including Indonesia. Family planning is a government program designed to balance needs and numbers. Family Planning is a government program to regulate the rate of population growth in Indonesia by using contraceptive methods. Contraception is divided into two types, namely Long-Term Contraceptive Methods and Non-Long-Term Contraceptive Methods.
Aims: This research aims to increase knowledge about contraceptives among fertile age couples.
Methods: The research method of this activity is by providing educational counseling about contraceptives at the fertile age couples in Sengon Karang. This counseling was carried out at the PKK gathering event in Padukuhan Sengon Karang, held on May 17, 2024 for 30 minutes. The media used in this counseling were e-booklets and videos with number of counseling participants was 50 people. The measurements carried out in this study were to measure pre-test and post-test values.
Results: As a result of the health education about contraceptives that had been implemented, it was found that the post-test scores increased knowledge among fertile age couples.
Conclucion: The conclusion of this counseling which was carried out at Padukuhan Sengon Karang using e-booklets and video media, the number of participants in the counseling was 50 people, and the results showed that there was a change in increasing knowledge in fertile age couples after carrying out pre and post-tests. After the implementation of this outreach, the community experienced an increase in knowledge regarding contraceptives, from initially 30 people not knowing about contraceptives to all knowing about contraceptives.
